A wicket keeper’s pads have to protect the shins without slowing the first movement towards the ball. The Aero P1 KPR Leg Protectors use a lightweight, 3D-moulded construction that wraps closely around the leg, giving elite protection without the bulk of a traditional keeping pad.

Rated by Aero for ball speeds up to 160kph, the P1 KPR is aimed at serious club, premier and representative keepers. The reduced weight matters whether you’re standing up and moving sharply down the leg side, standing back to genuine pace, or repeatedly getting low for takes and stops over a long innings.

Aero’s 3D shaping contours the protective foam around the leg rather than building the pad as a flatter, heavily padded panel. This close profile improves freedom through the knee and lower leg when crouching, diving, stopping and recovering to the stumps. Aero rates the P1 KPR at up to 50% lighter than conventional keeping pads, reducing the mass you have to move every time you push laterally or come out of your stance. The shaped construction also keeps the protection close to the shin, helping reduce excess material around the inside of the legs where bulky pads can catch against each other during quick movement behind the timbers.
