The Aero P2 Leg Protectors sit in the sweet spot of the Aero range: substantially more protection than the junior-focused P3, without stepping all the way up to the 160kph P1. Their higher-density foam construction is rated for ball speeds up to 130kph.

That makes the P2 particularly well suited to club cricketers and elite youth batters starting to face genuinely quick bowling. The lightweight, close-fitting design also matters once you have to move, whether you’re getting a proper stride into a drive, rocking back to cut or pull, or turning quickly for a second run.

Aero builds the P2 from tough closed-cell foam, using a higher density than the P3 to increase impact protection while retaining the lightweight character of the Aero leg-protector system. The 3D-shaped construction wraps more closely around the shin and lower leg than a conventional flat-fronted pad, reducing excess bulk around the inside of the knees and helping the protectors stay out of the way through footwork and running. Just 2 adjustable straps are needed to secure each pad, and the ambidextrous design removes the need for separate right- and left-handed models. For a batter, the result is meaningful 130kph protection without carrying the weight and bulk traditionally associated with higher-level batting pads.
