The Aero P3 Coloured Leg Protectors bring the same lightweight P3 concept to limited-overs cricket, with protection rated for ball speeds up to 110kph.

They’re aimed squarely at junior and youth batters, where heavy traditional pads can make footwork and running feel harder than it needs to. Aero rates the P3 at up to 65% lighter than old-style youth pads, helping young players move more freely when getting forward, going back to the short ball or turning quickly for a second run.

The P3 uses Aero’s 3D-shaped, closed-cell foam approach rather than the bulky cane-heavy construction of a conventional batting pad. Shaping the protector around the leg gives it a closer fit, reducing unnecessary material around the knees and lower legs so the pads are less likely to clash together when running or moving across the crease. Only 2 straps are needed to secure each pad, while the ambidextrous construction removes the need for separate right- and left-handed models. Aero’s P3 platform also uses an improved 20mm foam liner to add cushioning through the shin without loading extra weight onto the leg.
