Built to Phoebe Litchfield’s 2lb 8oz specification, this Ghost Players Replica combines a full profile with maximum spine and edges.

It’s made for accomplished top-order batters who want a substantial hitting shape without stepping into an oversized weight.

Kookaburra uses specially selected Players Replica Grade unbleached English willow, shaped with a tapered square toe and standard face. The oval handle helps stabilise the blade through clean drives, while the white Grid grip matches Litchfield’s preferred connection through the hands.

Key Features:

Full players profile with maximum spine and edges for a substantial hitting area.
Fixed 2lb 8oz specification balances profile size with manageable weight.
Tapered square toe removes unnecessary bulk near the base.
Oval handle and Grid grip provide a controlled top-hand feel.

Includes a padded full-length bat cover.

Get your bat ready for hardball.

Start with the manufacturer’s instructions for your exact model and finish. Preparation requirements vary from bat to bat.

Check before you prepare

Check the instructions before oiling or knocking in. Factory preparation, including GM NOW! treatment where supplied, does not automatically mean a bat is ready for full match use.

Build up gradually

Knocking in gradually conditions the blade for ball impact and can help reduce damage. It does not make willow crack-proof or guarantee a particular lifespan.

Prefer a workshop service?

Our professional knocking-in service is an option for bats that need preparation. Check the service details and allow for the stated turnaround time.

Ease into play

Follow the manufacturer’s or workshop’s aftercare advice. Build up gently with an older, good-quality leather ball before harder net or match use.

Stop and check if seam marks leave deep indentations or damage appears. There is no single preparation time that suits every bat.
